Itinerary Tiers

For successful trip planning.

TrovaTrip Itinerary Tiers are divided into 3 levels: Starter, Experienced and Expert.

Tier access is based on the number of qualified survey responses you collect as a Host. To climb up the tiers and get access to our more curated experiences, you'll need more survey responses from your community. More survey responses unlock more options, including sought after destinations such as climbing, backpacking or even summiting Kilimanjaro.

While the Starter tier is earned automatically when you qualify with 50 survey responses, the Expert and Experienced itinerary tiers allow you to unlock more trips and open a wide range of features and benefits, including a dedicated Trova rep to help you every step of the way.

We strongly recommend you get at least 100 survey responses to set yourself (and your trip) up for success!

Itinerary Level Breakdowns

Beginner

Starter

Starter itineraries are our entry-level, self-serve trips. These are plug-and-play itineraries that give you a quick and easy launch at a reasonable price point for your Travelers. You'll unlock these itineraries when you get 50 qualified survey responses.

Experienced

Experienced

Experienced itineraries give you more options and are available to everyone with at least 100 qualified survey responses. Don't let the name fool you — even a first-time Host can unlock, select, and sell an Experienced itinerary (it comes with the support of a dedicated Trova rep to help you every step of the way). 

Expert

Expert

Expert itineraries are specialized trips for enthusiastic and dedicated communities. This tier unlocks a more exclusive experience for the groups who want to explore less traveled destinations. 300+ qualified survey responses gets you access to these ones.

What are TrovaTrip's Itinerary Tiers?

Itinerary Tiers are the different levels of itineraries that become available to you based on the number of qualified survey responses Hosts collect. We put them in place to help set you up for success when planning and selling your trip!

Starter tiers are accessible after just 50 qualified survey responses and are typically offered at a lower price to make selling them a great fit for Hosts who want to self-serve their TrovaTrip.

Experienced tiers require at least 100 qualified responses and include more niche experiences. For Hosts who want a dedicated Trova rep, this is the tier to hit!

Expert tiers are unlocked after reaching 300 or more qualified responses. Expert level itineraries include access to our highly-specialized, limited-supply trips such as summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro or hiking the Inca Trail in Peru.

How do I access higher level itineraries?

You move up by collecting more qualified survey responses. The more you engage with your audience, the higher the tiers you can unlock. There are some exceptions available for Hosts who have already successfully sold group trips.

Here’s what’s required to move up:

  • Starter - 50-99 qualified survey responses
  • Experienced - 100-299 qualified survey responses
  • Expert - 300+ qualified survey responses
There’s an itinerary I want on a locked level. Can I skip a level?

In very rare circumstances, we can accommodate tier adjustments — typically only if a Host has sold a group trip prior. Please reach out with specifics (number of spots sold, timeline to sell) here and we'll be in touch!
