# Host vs. Guide

## Hosts and Guides are both essential for a great trip, here's how to know who does what.

TrovaTrip partners with [Hosts](https://trovatrip.com/host) and local [Guides ](https://trovatrip.com/about/local-guides)across the globe. They want to help you see the world the way it should be seen. When you travel with them, you'll explore foreign cultures and discover new frontiers. Your trip experience would not be complete without either one.

While Hosts and Guides are both integral to your trip experience, their roles are very different. So who does what? That’s what we’ll explain here.
