How the Host Referral Program Works (Quick Version)
When you share your referral link with a friend who becomes a Host and they Confirm their first trip, we’ll send $1,000 your way. And because it takes two to tango, we’ll give them $1,000 too!
This reward structure not only supports our Hosts financially but also strengthens the connections that make Trova so special. By growing the Host community with people you believe in, you’re helping shape the future of group travel.
The best part? There’s no cap on earnings. The more Hosts you refer, the more you can earn.
How Referring a Host Works (Step by Step)
1. Share your referral link
You’ll need a TrovaTrip Host account to get started. Once logged in, head to your Host portal and click “Refer a Host” in the top right corner. From there, copy your personal referral link and share it with someone you think would be a great fit.

2. Your referral applies to host with Trova
Your referral completes the Host application and goes through Trova’s standard review process. If approved, they’ll work with our team to plan, price, and launch their first group trip.
3. Their first trip Confirms
Once the trip is live, Travelers can start booking. When the trip reaches the minimum number of Travelers needed to run, it officially Confirms, making the referral complete! 🎉
4. You BOTH earn $1,000
After their first trip Confirms, you and your referred Host each earn $1,000.
- You’ll receive your payment once the trip Confirms.
- Your referred Host will receive their payment alongside their final trip payout, typically around 20 days before the trip begins.

If someone naturally brings people together and loves creating meaningful experiences, they’re likely a strong fit! Here are a few traits we often see in Hosts who go on to Confirm trips:
- Community Builders: Leaders who gather people online (Creators with engaged followers) or in-person (yoga instructors, hiking groups, book clubs, etc.).
- Engagement-Focused Leaders: Those who actively connect with their audience through comments, messages, and content resharing.
- Business-Minded Creators: Coaches, mentors, and entrepreneurs who already offer value through their platforms and could see hosting as a natural extension of their work.
- Audience Size (Sometimes!): While connection matters more than follower count, Creators with ~10k+ followers or tight-knit groups (like Facebook communities of 100+ engaged members) often see strong results.

When it comes to referrals, keeping things personal goes a long way. Direct outreach—like DMs, emails, or texts—tends to spark better conversations than mass sharing. Some Hosts even record a quick intro video or invite interested creators to a short call to talk through what hosting looks like.
Once your referral is ready to connect with our team, a warm intro to your Trova Rep is a great next step. Just be sure they create their Host account using your unique referral link—that’s how our robots make sure your referral is properly tracked (and rewarded 😉).
