Host General Liability Insurance

At TrovaTrip, we love our Hosts. We want to make the travel process as easy and awesome as possible. To serve you better, all Hosts are now covered under our domestic and international, General Liability Insurance Policy. This is an occurrence policy* that covers liability exposure up to $7.5 million USD.

Some of the items covered under this policy:

• General Liability for Bodily Injury and Property Damage
• Personal Injury Liability (libel, slander, false arrest, invasion of privacy) 
• Advertising Injury Liability (covers certain copyright and trademark infringements)
• Non-owned and Hired Auto Liability (ground transportation arrangements such as airport transfers, motor coach, and vehicle rentals) 
• Additional coverages: Premises Liability per Occurrence, Professional Errors and Omissions Liability, Host Liquor Liability

Certificate of Liability Insurance available upon request.

Although you are not required to, we strongly recommend you secure travel insurance on your own with the protection you want for yourself in the event of sickness or injury. Our preferred partner is World Nomads. They have some of the best travel insurance in the industry.

*An occurrence policy has lifetime coverage for the incidents that occur during a policy period, regardless of when the claim is reported. A claims-made policy only covers incidents that happen and are reported within the policy's time frame, unless a 'tail' is purchased.
