What that means for you and your Travelers.

Your trip is confirmed and is set to happen! At this stage, you have received your pre-set earnings advancement, your trip reservation has been locked in with our operating partners and your Travelers have been notified to start looking for flights. If you need to cancel your confirmed trip, read through the following sections in order to understand how you and your Travelers will be impacted:

Trip Cancelled by a Covered Event

You are unable to attend the trip due to injury, illness, or other medical conditions that prevent you from performing your Host services.
What does this mean for my Travelers?

Outside of 45 days, your Travelers will have the following options:

  • Transfer their spot to a different trip and TrovaTrip will waive their $100 transfer fee.
  • Receive a trip credit to be used on any trip within the next 12 months.
  • Receive a full refund for funds paid.

Within 45 days, your Travelers will attend the trip led by the local Guide and will be given a discount in the form of a refund deducted from your earnings.

What does this mean for me?

You will be required to pay back your earnings advance within 30 days of your cancellation.

Trip Cancelled by Host

If you cancel a confirmed trip at any time, unless granted an exemption due to a Covered Event or an act of Force Majeure, you will be subject to and agree to pay a cancellation/no-show fee of $1500 USD for each such cancellation.
What does this mean for my Travelers?

Outside of 45 days, your Travelers will have the following options:

  • Transfer their spot to a different trip and we will waive the $100 transfer fee.
  • Receive a trip credit to be used on any trip within the next 12 months.
  • Receive a full refund for funds paid.

Within 45 days, your Travelers will attend the trip led by the local Guide and will be given a discount deducted from your earnings.

What does this mean for me?

You will owe a $1500 cancellation fee. Additionally, you will be required to pay back your earnings advance within 30 days of your cancellation.

Trip Cancelled by TrovaTrip

If TrovaTrip must cancel your confirmed trip due to unforeseeable circumstances outside of everyone’s control (such as a pandemic or natural disaster) that prevent all parties from running the trip, you will have the option to either cancel or reschedule your trip.
What does this mean for my Travelers?

If you choose to cancel, your Travelers will be given the following options:

  • Transfer their spot to a different trip and we will waive the $100 transfer fee.
  • Receive a trip credit to be used on any trip within the next 12 months in the amount of funds paid.
  • Receive a full refund for funds paid.

If you choose to reschedule, your Travelers will have the following options:

  • Keep their spot on your trip for the new dates.
  • Transfer their spot to a different trip and TrovaTrip will waive the $100 transfer fee.
  • Receive a trip credit for their 25% down payment to be used on any trip within the next 12 months and a refund for any additional payments made past their down payment.
What does this mean for me?

If you choose to cancel, you will be required to return any earnings advance paid out for this trip and we will waive the $1500 cancellation fee.

If you choose to reschedule, you will work with your Account Manager to pick new dates that work best for you. You will not be required to return any earnings advancements paid out for this trip or pay any fees.
