Jama Masjid Visit
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from the hotel for a 30 minute private transfer to Jama Masjid, your first stop of the Old Delhi walking and rickshaw tour. Your guide will take you through Jama Masjid, one of the largest and most renowned mosques in the country. Constructed in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it showcases magnificent Mughal architecture with intricate marble domes and towering minarets. Its vast courtyard can accommodate thousands of worshippers during prayers, making it a significant religious and cultural landmark in India.
Sheeshganj Gurudwara Sikh Temple
Then you’ll walk 10 minutes over to Sheeshganj Gurudwara Sikh Temple, a revered Sikh temple situated in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. It holds historical significance as the site where Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, was martyred in 1675. The Gurudwara stands as a symbol of Sikh valor and resistance against religious persecution during the Mughal era. Its architecture blends traditional Sikh design elements with intricate craftsmanship, attracting devotees and visitors to experience its spiritual ambiance and rich cultural heritage.

Lunch at Sheeshganj Gurudwara Sikh Temple’s community kitchen is included. Lunch will typically be a simple vegetarian meal consisting of Indian breads, vegetables and a curry. No drinks included.
Khari Baoli Spice Market
After lunch, you’ll hop on the back of a motor rickshaw for a 10 minute ride over to Khari Baoli Spice Market, one of the largest and oldest spice markets in Asia. Dating back to the 17th century, it boasts a vibrant atmosphere filled with the aroma of various spices, herbs, nuts, and dried fruits. Merchants from all over India gather here to trade an extensive array of spices, making it a bustling hub of commerce and cultural exchange. Your guide will take you around the market and then climb the rooftop of the market to have the aerial view of Old Delhi. You’ll then have some free time to explore the narrow lanes lined with shops on your own.
Transfer to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station
From the market, you’ll take a 1 hour private transfer to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.
Train: New Dellhi to Ranthambore
Hop aboard the train for a 3.5 hour journey down to Ranthambore. Your luggage will be stored in the overhead compartment. Recommend packing a small day pack for items you want easily accessible. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll take a 30 minute private transfer to the hotel.

In the early morning, you’ll be picked up by the canter vehicle (open air, covered bus) for a 15 minute transfer into Ranthambore National Park for the morning safari. Spanning 1,334 square kilometers, this park, once the hunting grounds of the Maharaja, holds a rich history and diverse wildlife. Situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, this renowned national park is famed for its population of majestic Bengal tigers, but keep your eyes peeled for numerous other species such as: leopards, striped Hyenas, sambar deer, chital, nilgai, common or hanuman langurs, macaques, jackals, caracals, sloth bears, black bucks, rufous tailed hares, Indian wild boars, etc. Note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

Afternoon Safari in Ranthambore National Park

Chambal River Safari
Once you arrive in Palighat, you’ll board a boat to embark on a Chambal River Safari through one of India's most pristine and biodiverse river ecosystems. The Chambal River, flowing through the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, offers sanctuary to a wide array of wildlife, including critically endangered species such as the Gharial crocodile and the Gangetic river dolphin. As you glide along its tranquil waters, accompanied by expert guides, be prepared to encounter other fascinating inhabitants such as marsh crocodiles, various species of birds, and perhaps even elusive freshwater turtles. This safari provides a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the natural beauty and rich biodiversity of the Chambal River basin. From Bharatpur you’ll head directly to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its architectural marvel steeped in history and grandeur. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565, it served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Built primarily with red sandstone, the fort's imposing walls stretch for over 2.5 kilometers, enclosing a sprawling complex of palaces, mosques, gardens, and halls. One of its most iconic structures is the Jahangir Palace, known for its intricate stone carvings and elegant architecture. Today, Agra Fort stands as a testament to the Mughal empire's power and legacy. You’ll then take a 20 minute private transfer to the hotel for check in and will have time for lunch at your own expense.
Taj Mahal at Sunset
You’ll be picked up from the hotel for a 20 minute transfer and admire the Taj Mahal at sunset. The Taj Mahal is one of the most iconic symbols of love and architectural marvels in the world. Commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, construction of this white marble mausoleum began in 1632 and took approximately 20 years to complete. Renowned for its breathtaking beauty and intricate craftsmanship, the Taj Mahal's symmetrical design, intricate carvings, and ornate details mesmerize millions of visitors each year. Beyond its famous structures, Agra also boasts a marvelous food scene. This evening, a foodie expert will join you on this optional street food tour away from the main tourist trail and help you understand Agra’s cuisine and culture. Stop by a 19th-century shop serving up age-old recipes from the Braj region of India and visit hyperlocal eateries most visitors to Agra never see. You’ll get to savor street food items like, Chaat, Tikki or Pav Bhaji (subject to change).

Can I book solo?
Absolutely! As of 2025, almost 84% of TrovaTrip Travelers go solo. (And yes, we may be a little biased, but we think group travel is one of the best ways to meet new people!) You'll have your own bed and the option to book a private room on most trips. Plus you'll be traveling with others who are just as excited to explore and connect.
What if I need to cancel?
We understand that life happens. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility while balancing the logistics of group travel:
- Spot pending – 100% refundable. Not confirmed yet? No worries. You can cancel at any time for a full refund.
- Spot confirmed with 91 or more days before your trip – Partially refundable + credit towards a future trip. You'll receive a future trip credit for the amount of your down payment (minus a $100 cancellation fee per Traveler). This trip credit is valid for one year from the date it is issued. Additionally, any payments made beyond the original 25% down payment will be refunded to your original form of payment.
- Spot confirmed with 90 days or fewer before your trip – Non-refundable. At this point, all payments are non-refundable because your experience is already in motion behind the scenes. By this time, our operating partners will be working with local businesses to secure your accommodations and finalize your activities.

What do the activity levels mean?
Every trip has a physical Activity Level from 1 to 5 so you can find the right fit for your travel style:
- Level 1 – Relax + Unwind: Minimal movement (spa days, beach lounging, local markets)
- Level 2 – Low-Key Movement: Light, easy-paced activity (snorkeling, boat tours, gentle hikes)
- Level 3 – Moderate Activity: Ready to move (multi-day hikes, skiing, camping)
- Level 4 – Get Your Heart Rate Up: More intense movement (long hikes, biking, active days)
- Level 5 – Extreme Adventure: High-adrenaline travel (challenging hikes, dives, technical climbs – experience may be required)

What does "or similar" mean next to the accommodations?
When we say “or similar,” it means the hotel listed is an example of what you can expect—not always the exact spot you'll be staying. Sometimes Operators adjust accommodations due to seasonal availability or group size. But rest assured: the quality and comfort will match what's shown.
Why would the accommodations change from time of booking?
Flexibility allows Operators to choose the best-fit accommodations closer to your trip—based on availability, logistics, and what works best for the group (like the number of Travelers and room configurations). This ensures a smooth experience without sacrificing comfort or quality.
Finalized hotel info is typically shared about 30 days before departure in your Traveler Portal, along with your final itinerary.
Trip Operations & Compliance
Who actually runs my trip, and how does Trova keep things safe?
Your trip is operated by licensed, certified Tour Operators who manage all trip logistics and safety—from accommodations and local Guides and day-to-day logistics. All trips comply with local legal and regulatory standards. We vet each Operating partner carefully so you can travel with confidence.

General Travel Questions
Do I need any documentation to travel?
It depends on where you're headed. Though it is not a universal requirement, many countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date. This ensures Travelers have sufficient time to return home even if their visas are extended or if unexpected circumstances arise.
Some destinations may also require a visa. Check our visa page to consult your country's travel resources.
Do I need any vaccines?
It's always best to check with your healthcare provider or a travel doctor before your trip. You can also visit the CDC website (or your local government's travel health resource) for destination-specific vaccine guidance. Health and safety first!
Are flights included in the trip cost?
Because our Hosts and Travelers are coming from all around the world, flights to and from your destination are not included. Some trips include internal flights (like a short domestic hop), and those details will always be listed on the trip page if applicable.
Can you accommodate my dietary needs?
We’ll do our very best! Our Operators aim to accommodate dietary restrictions, though availability varies by destination. For example, some places offer plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices, while others might be quite limited. The earlier you let us know—through your trip form or by contacting our support team—the better we can prepare. Once you arrive, be sure to remind your local Guide about any allergies or restrictions so they can help you enjoy your meals safely and comfortably.
