About This Trip

Are you ready and stoked to explore the one-and-only Yellowstone with (23) other incredible women?! Shoooot. I know I am! Yellowstone has an abundance of breathtaking views and impressive sights that we get to lay our eyeballs on and take too many photos of. There will be hikes to stunning vistas and exploration of geysers and hot springs. Hopefully some awesome wildlife too! On this short yet adventure-packed trip, we will camp in tents under the stars and experience all that Yellowstone has to offer our souls. All of the primary camping gear is provided except for sleeping bags and camp pillows! You will just need to bring all your personal items and hiking gear. :) ALL HIKING & CAMPING EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME!!! Please Note: This is a participatory camping trip, in which all travelers will be assisting in setting up camp and cooking meals. Guides will teach you the best methods for quick set up and take down of tents, and will lead the cooking, providing clear instructions and oversight. If you’ve never set up camp or cooked outdoors before, this is the perfect opportunity to learn under expert supervision!

Welcome to Yellowstone! TrovaTrip will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the campground. Plan to arrive by 12pm. Camping is part of this incredible experience, you will set up and pack up your tent, and help prep all meals! Since you'll be out on adventures most days, lunch will be picnic-style or bagged lunches. If you've never camped before, no worries, your professional guide will always be there to help.

Yellowstone Geological Highlights Tour

1 Hour

This morning, embark on a guided tour of Yellowstone's geological highlights, which includes the iconic Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, and the Fountain Paint Pots. Then leave the beaten path and hike to spectacular vantage points above Grand Prismatic Spring as well as the Lower Geyser Basin.

Old Faithful Viewpoint Hike

1 Hour

Reached by an easy trail, Observation Point (Old Faithful viewpoint), provides a fine vista over Old Faithful and other nearby geysers. Length: 1.6 miles (round trip) Elevation Gain: 160 feet Duration: 1 hour Difficulty: Easy Trail Type: Out and back

Grand Prismatic Spring Viewpoint Hike

1 Hour

Prepare to have your breath taken away. Grand Prismatic Spring Viewpoint will give you astounding sightings of Yellowstone’s most colorful hot spring as well as one of its tallest waterfalls, Fairy Falls. Length: 2 miles Elevation gain: 100 feet Duration: 1 hour Difficulty: Easy Trail Type: Out and back

Firehole River Visit

2 Hours

Take a break from the heat with a swim in the Firehole River. Don't let the name fool you, this swimming area has pleasantly cool water and the beach has plenty of space to sprawl out and relax. *Conditions permitting. If the river is unavailable to visit, your guide will take you on a hike based on the group ability. An example of a possible hike is the Fairy Falls Trail.

Today you’ll visit the eastern area of Yellowstone National Park, hiking near the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The canyon, created by the force of the Yellowstone River, begins south of the park on the slopes of Yount Peak. The river travels more than 600 miles to its end in North Dakota where it empties into the Missouri River, making it the longest undammed river in the continental United States!

Grand Canyon Hike

Your hike will take you along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, where several viewpoints along the 3.8 miles of trail deliver outstanding views of waterfalls, pine-covered forests and the bright orange, yellow and pink walls of the Canyon itself. Clear Lake Loop Trail Length: 3.5 miles (round trip) / Elevation gain: 423 feet / Duration: 2-3 hours / Difficulty: Easy Trail Type: Loop

As a grand finale to your epic Yellowstone trip, you will set out to hike to the top of one of Yellowstone's highest mountains, Mt. Washburn.

Mt. Washburn Hike

4 Hours

The ascent is long but relatively gentle and you'll have plenty of opportunities to see bighorn sheep as you make your way to the top of the mountain. Standing over 10,000 feet tall, Mt. Washburn's peak offers an endless panorama from Teton Mountain to the Grand Canyon and beyond. At the summit there is a fire lookout tower which is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register. It provides a popular destination for day hikers, as well as accommodation for the fire lookout employees who keep a watchful eye out for fires throughout the summer. Mt. What's included in the trip cost?

What do the activity levels mean?

Every trip has a physical Activity Level from 1 to 5 so you can find the right fit for your travel style:

  • Level 1 – Relax + Unwind: Minimal movement (spa days, beach lounging, local markets)
  • Level 2 – Low-Key Movement: Light, easy-paced activity (snorkeling, boat tours, gentle hikes)
  • Level 3 – Moderate Activity: Ready to move (multi-day hikes, skiing, camping)

What does "or similar" mean next to the accommodations?

When we say “or similar,” it means the hotel listed is an example of what you can expect—not always the exact spot you'll be staying. Sometimes Operators adjust accommodations due to seasonal availability or group size. But rest assured: the quality and comfort will match what's shown.

Why would the accommodations change from time of booking?

Flexibility allows Operators to choose the best-fit accommodations closer to your trip—based on availability, logistics, and what works best for the group (like the number of Travelers and room configurations). This ensures a smooth experience without sacrificing comfort or quality.

Finalized hotel info is typically shared about 30 days before departure in your Traveler Portal, along with your final itinerary.

Who actually runs my trip, and how does Trova keep things safe?

Your trip is operated by licensed, certified Tour Operators who manage all trip logistics and safety—from accommodations and local Guides and day-to-day logistics. All trips comply with local legal and regulatory standards. We vet each Operating partner carefully so you can travel with confidence.

General Travel Questions

Do I need any documentation to travel?

It depends on where you're headed. Though it is not a universal requirement, many countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date. This ensures Travelers have sufficient time to return home even if their visas are extended or if unexpected circumstances arise. 

Some destinations may also require a visa. Check our visa page to consult your country's travel resources.

Do I need any vaccines?

It's always best to check with your healthcare provider or a travel doctor before your trip. You can also visit the CDC website (or your local government's travel health resource) for destination-specific vaccine guidance. Health and safety first!

Are flights included in the trip cost?

Because our Hosts and Travelers are coming from all around the world, flights to and from your destination are not included. Some trips include internal flights (like a short domestic hop), and those details will always be listed on the trip page if applicable.

Can you accommodate my dietary needs?

We’ll do our very best! Our Operators aim to accommodate dietary restrictions, though availability varies by destination. For example, some places offer plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices, while others might be quite limited. The earlier you let us know—through your trip form or by contacting our support team—the better we can prepare. Once you arrive, be sure to remind your local Guide about any allergies or restrictions so they can help you enjoy your meals safely and comfortably.
