Discover Sanremo through the lens of its culinary specialties! You’ll start amongst imposing buildings dating back to the Belle Epoque, then move to a part of town with plenty of small shops frequented by locals. Here you’ll be able to taste sardenaira and farinata, freshly made by a bakery, with a glass of the local red wine Rossese. Later you’ll visit the food market where shopkeepers are always happy to chat and show their products. After a few stops to taste these local specialties, you’ll continue on (and up) to the medieval town of La Pigna. Steep and narrow cobblestone alleys await, but so do cookies including “il bacio di (the kiss of) Sanremo.” Finally, the tour will end by the traditional old harbor, as you taste delicious ice cream in front of the Mediterranean. Bathrooms will be available during this 3-hour walking tour. You will be walking between 1.5 miles and 2 miles. Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, pack sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.

In the afternoon you’ll visit the charming nearby village of Dolceacqua, bordering France in the heart of the Ligurian countryside. With its cobblestone streets, humpback bridge, and pastel-colored houses, it's a fairytale come to life. Explore the historic center, visit Doria Castle for panoramic views (entrance fee included), and savor the renowned Rossese wine. Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, pack sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. Please note you will be walking between 1 and 1.5 miles during this tour.

After visiting Dolceacqua, take a private transfer back to Alassio for the remainder of the evening. Stops for bathrooms/snacks will be made along the way as needed.

After breakfast, continue to the East side of the Italian Riviera–Riviera di Levante–and visit the town of Camogli for an independent visit and a delightful lunch on your own. As you arrive, prepare to be greeted by the picturesque waterfront and harbor, where fishing boats bob gently in clear waters. Take your time to explore this relaxed seaside town as you wander narrow streets and shop (or window shop) the local boutiques and artisanal establishments. And don't miss the opportunity to visit the impressive Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, which overlooks the town. Please note you will be walking between half a mile and a mile during this tour.

After lunch, take a private transfer to the town of La Spezia. Stops for bathrooms/snacks will be made along the way as needed.

Walk to from the hotel to La Spezia Centrale Station.

The Cinque Terre card is a pass which includes unlimited travel on local trains in the Cinque Terre area. This card enables you to also take the reserved excursion paths along the coastline, also known as the "Path of Love". These paths include: Transfer from La Spezia to Monterosso by train (20 min). Transfer from Monterosso to Vernazza by train (5 min). Transfer from Vernazza to Riomaggiore by train (10 min). There are restrooms available on the train and snacks and drinks available for purchase at the train station.

The picturesque marine town with its tall, narrow houses of the “Old Town” is adorned with beautiful architectural delights. Explore the artisan shops, cafes, and restaurants that give the village its vibrant atmosphere. Spend your time leisurely walking through the old alleys. A postcard-perfect destination with a stunning harbor. Explore the narrow streets lined with colorful houses and wander up to the remains of Doria Castle for awe-inspiring views. Indulge in a leisurely lunch on your own at a waterfront restaurant, savoring fresh seafood and regional specialties. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or exploring the quaint shops and boutiques. If you wish to spend your time on the beach please remember to pack a bathing suit, change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Explore the streets and ascend the hillside to take in the panoramic majesty of the Ligurian Sea below. Then indulge in fresh seafood and sip local wines at a bar. If you plan to swim, don’t forget to bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes. You may also want sandals, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Additionally, due to the mix of cobblestone and paved roads, comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

After your time in Riomaggiore, return to La Spezia by train. Upon your arrival in La Spezia train station walk to your accommodations.

After breakfast, reach Santa Margherita Ligure by bus. Upon your arrival in Santa Margherita port continue your tour on board of a comfortable boat to go to Portofino.

Enjoy an extraordinary view of the Tigullio Bay while you are taken from Santa Margherita to the picturesque town of Portofino via a public boat cruise.

You will visit the famous abbey, nestled in a rocky cove, and explore its intriguing history. Walk through the historic building with your Guide before enjoying time on your own to explore this quaint town. Head to sea for the crystal-clear waters to swim or snorkel before returning to the dock to head to Portofino. This afternoon you will be transferred 15 minutes by public ferry to Santa Margherita Ligure. From there, you will continue to Porto Venere and your accommodatios by bus.
