This itinerary combines the dramatic beauty of the Aeolian Islands with the relaxation of a yoga retreat. Combine daily yoga with hiking and adventure as you explore the volcanic landscape that makes Sicily so unique. The second half of the trip takes you to the mainland for opportunities to dive into the Sicilian culture as you continue to deepen your yoga practice.

Workshops

Rising Up Stronger Workshop (60 min): A strength-based workshop creating stability and awareness preparing students to work into beginner inversions and arm balances. Based off of Chelsea’s e-book, Rising Up Stronger.

Hip Hip Hooray Workshop (60 min): Another strength-based workshop that will focus on opening the hips so you can create space for the birth of new ideas, and will open you up physically, spiritually, and creatively.

A once full time stay-at-home never having traveled outside the United States, yoga awakened a part of me I didn't know I needed. I earned my 200hr RYT in 2015, released my ebook Rising Up Stronger in '18 (a strength and stability guide to your yoga practice and inversions) and continued my journey earning my 500hr YTT. I shook up my life and it's pattens when I bit the bullet and bought a ticket to Bali back in 2018. From that point forward the travel bug got me and I've been leading yoga retreats around the globe. My hope is that others will be able to add stamps to their passports, practice yoga (something that has brought more peace, calmness, and compassion for others than ever before), and start saying "YES" to themselves. Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Italy! TrovaTrip will pick you up from the airport, but make sure you arrive before 1pm. Next you will transfer by bus to the Milazzo port (~2 hours) where you will catch the ferry to the island of Lipari (~1 hour)!

After checking into the hotel meet with the group for the welcome dinner! Cheers to an incredible week to come.

Overnight in Lipari

Arrival: Fly into Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA). TrovaTrip will provide one transfer at 2pm. Make sure your flight arrives before 1pm.

Day 2

Wake up with some morning yoga before tackling a hike on the Western side of Lipari! From the white pumice-stone of Timpone Pataso, head south to the ruins of the ancient San Calogero thermal baths. Continue to Pianoconte to admire the wonderful view of Vulcano Island before returning to the hotel. Your first day in Lipari will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

Hike Difficulty: Intermediate

Day 3

Greet the day with another yoga flow! Then it's time to hit the water as you ride over to Panarea. Soak in the views by sea and land before finding yourself in Stromboli. Here you will hop on the trail for another incredible hike in this dramatic location. Climb the black sandy trail on the western side of the volcano with the turquoise water below.

At sunset board the boat to see the natural smoke and lava “show” locals call the “Sciara del Fuoco.” During the return to Lipari have a “maccheronata” pasta party on the boat before returning to the hotel.

Day 4

Grab your yoga mat for a flow before today's adventure begins!

Another day, another epic hike on a new island! Today you'll head over to the island of Vulcano. You'll pass through the steam emitted by the fumaroles while following the trail up to the crater. From the top of the volcano look out over the surrounding six islands and expansive sea.

Back down at sea level have some free time to hit the beach!

Later this afternoon you'll head back to the hotel for another yoga session before the group dinner.

Hike Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate

Day 5

Hop on your yoga mat for one last island flow before heading back to the mainland!

After the boat ride back to Milazzo, you'll transfer to your hotel near Cefalù. Enjoy a free afternoon to go explore the town or catch some zzz's before the evening yoga session.

Dinner will be another group meal tonight!

Day 6

This morning you'll have a yoga session and breakfast at the hotel, before your visit to the old town of Cefalù. Known for its 12th-century architecture and Byzantine mosaics, this picturesque seaside town is full of rich history. Later, hike up to the Rocca Fortress to enjoy the amazing views of the gulf.

Day 7

Enjoy your final morning flow here in Italy.

Then it's time to explore Sicily's capital: Palermo! This bustling city is ripe with history, art, and Sicilian culture. Explore the highlights the city has to offer before capping your exploration with a visit to a local market to enjoy some street food.

Closeout today's activities with your final yoga class with Chelsea.

This evening come together one last time at the farewell dinner where you can cheers to an incredible week spent with new friends!
