Following the loss of her mother, Laurasia began exploring her own spirituality as a means of working through her grief to find peace in the uncertainty of life. It was then that she discovered how meditation could transform, literally… everything. Through the magic of mindfulness and meditation, Laurasia was able to overcome her stress and was able to slowly wean off the anxiety medication she had been prescribed as a teen completely. This freed space for her to follow her intuition, be herself, and manifest her dreams. Now no matter what life throws her way, no fender bender or f*** boy can get to her, because peace is only a few deep breaths away…
After years of exploring her own spirituality, Laurasia has found her passion lies in teaching people to live by the way of the heart. Having previously suffered from debilitating anxiety, meditation and mindfulness taught to move from the mind and into the heart. Laurasia shares from her own experience and guides her students by sharing the tools to finding peace, joy, and ultimately happiness in the present moment.
She remains committed to her practice by pursuing additional education through the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center's MAPs courses, and attending silent retreats annually at Spirit Rock.
Laurasia leads international retreats sharing her wisdom with students worldwide. She has led meditation at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Lightning In A Bottle Festival and collaborated on events with the Moet & Chandon, Michelob Ultra, Scooter Braun Productions, Nike, and Soho House to name a few. She is named a meditation expert in publications like Well + Good, Self Magazine, Health Magazine, and Good Housekeeping. She is the author of two books "Meditations on Self-Love" and "Love Yourself." She is the founder of her own virtual meditation platform The Sit Society.
