Filmmaking has given me the opportunity to meet people around the world, delve into new cultures and create art inspired by my experiences. After moving to Hawaii, a sacred place that has humbled me, I fell in love with the islands and sharing its beautiful scenery through film. Videography and photography has allowed me to take an emotion or feeling and express it into a piece I can share with the world. Join us on an adventure through some of Peru’s most beautiful attractions while learning creative filmmaking techniques I’ve cultivated in creating captivating, viral videos.

Day 1

Welcome to Peru! We’ll meet you at the airport and drive 1 hour to nearby Pisac. Explore Pisac Market on your own or rest up and adjust to the high altitude (11,000 ft) before we meet for dinner and cheers to the adventure to come!

Arrival: Fly into Cusco Airport (CUZ) - Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport by 6pm to make the Welcome Dinner at 8pm.

Included: Welcome Dinner, Airport Transfer

Day 2

We have so much to see today! We’ll visit the Pisac Ruin, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The amazing Inca city constitutes one of the most important Archaeological Parks in the region. After, we’ll stop by the fine temples, palaces and the well preserved and vast farming terraces. Experience the famous "Indian Market" and admire or purchase handicrafts, this is your chance to enjoy a blend of color, traditions and people while bargaining for exotic craft works.

After Lunch at Urubamba Village, the crew will head over to the oldest continuously inhabited dwellings in South America, where people are still living in the same houses and palaces as 500 years ago; the ancient Incan town of Ollantaytambo.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Pisac Tour, Ollantaytambo Tour

Day 3

Today includes some travel, so download your Netflix or pack a book! We’ll take the train to Aguas Calientes town, bus to Machu Picchu, and experience a private guided tour of the "Holy City of the Incas", the highlight of any trip to South America. Tonight, we’ll sleep in Aguas Calientes.

Included: Breakfast, Machu Picchu Tour

Day 4

Free day to explore! If you’re up for it, visit Machu Picchu to watch the sunrise and take an optional hike to Huaynapicchu Peak for panoramic views of Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains.

Included: Breakfast

Day 5

Visit Moray, a very unique archaeological site in the region with its enormous natural depressions that the Incas built rudimentary greenhouses in. Enjoy beautiful views of the farming fields and the Urubamba snow-capped range and the famous “Inca Salt Mines” that include more than 4000 small pools.

Finally, we'll visit Chinchero village, the Incan site where you’ll learn about Incan textiles. Later, the group will drive to Cusco to stay overnight.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Moray Salt Mines Tour

Day 6

Rise & shine! This morning we’ll tour the Koricancha ‘Temple of the Sun’, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. You have the afternoon free to explore on your own!

Included: Breakfast, Cusco City Tour

Day 7

Take a free day or embark on an incredible journey and hike to Rainbow Mountain. For those hiking, we'll pick you up at 5:30 AM from your hotel in Cusco. The trip will take us south of Cusco to the town of Cusipata. We’ll stop for food and bathroom breaks before continuing our journey to the “Rainbow Mountain”. The total car travel time is ~2 hours each way. Enjoy views of amazing landscapes, herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate Mountain, lots of reddish mountains and traditional local houses along the way.

The hike starts at about 4600 mts / 15180 feet, and the highest view point of the Rainbow Mountain (5036 mts / 16619 feet) takes about 1 1/2 hours with a gradual incline (3.5 kmts / 2.2 miles). The group will have time to explore the area and take epic pictures for memories that will last a lifetime!

Later, we will hike back downhill to the beginning; this will take approximately 1 hour. We’ll hit the road for Cusipata where we’ll stop to have lunch. After lunch we’ll drive back to Cusco and arrive at the hotel in the evening.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Optional: Rainbow Mountain Hike

Day 8

All good things must come to an end. Until next time, my friends!

Included: Breakfast, Airport Transfer

Most knowledgeable local guide March 2019

This was my second time to Machu Picchu and while yes you can book a tour guide at the top of the mountain, which I did the first time, this guide was far more knowledgeable. He even included pictures and explained everything he could to the best of his knowledge. The whole family loved it and could understand him.

He also took the time to point out the best spots to take pictures and took our picture for us.

Keep in mind that if you are to go with a group tour, they may not go all the way to the top because others in the group may not be able to handle the steps and the altitude. You run the risk of going to the top and missing the tour or going with the tour and missing the top. Therefore, I strongly recommend a private tour that allows you to go at your own pace and to see the things you want to see versus having to go with the group.

Private 2 week tour of Machu Picchu and Southern Peru December 2018

In early May of 2018, we (2 Canadian couples in our later 60s) took a Peru tour via the company Peru Trek 4 Good, When booking the tour, we specified that we had 2 weeks, and wanted to see the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, the floating islands of Titicaca Lake, and the Colca Canyon. We had selected a hike in the Sacred Valley and a day hike to Machu Picchu that we thought would be good. Our interaction with the company turned out to be with Yure Chavez, the owner of the company. Yure booked all accommodations, ground travel, and guides, made small refinements in our itinerary, and assisted us in booking air flights. The cost for the tour was less than a similar tour by a large tour company. When we arrived in Cusco, we found out that Yure was to be our guide for the whole trip except that last day. He was our private guide for 13 days, and ground transportation was by car with just the 5 of us.

We were very happy with the tour and Yure as our guide. He had set up the tour to go smoothly, and easily handled a couple complications caused by us. His English and knowledge of the country and its history were very good. We learned a lot from Yure. He was very knowledgeable about the Inca sites that we visited, and he was good at explaining what we were seeing and building on what we had already learned. He also told us a lot about present-day Peru (people, farming, wildlife, etc.). We never had a question that he couldn’t answer competently.

The accommodations were good but basic (as requested), although the place in Aguas Calientes (Pequena Casita) has a good location but was poor (Wi-Fi very poor and a leaking toilet in one of the rooms). We had a very good over-night hike over-looking the Sacred Valley. Yure was an excellent guide for the whole tour. Our last day, in Lima with a different guide, did not go the best as the main historic part of the city was closed off that day for some official purpose. If we go to Peru again, we would definitely book with Peru Trek 4 Good, and hope to get Yure as our guide.

I recently returned from an amazin 10-day vacation to Peru, and it surpassed all my expectations. Yure and his team at Peru Trek 4 Good was amazing and very helpful. He was always very accommodating and extremely responsive. I booked the 10 day Best of Southern Peru tour to Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. We were impressed with the service throughout, from the prompt email responses during planning, to the friendly and personal driving and guiding during our trip. Peru is a beautiful country, full of history and varied topography, delicious food and friendly truly was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Yure!

    Great trip to Peru!October 2018

We recently returned from a wonderful 2-week vacation to Peru, and it surpassed all our expectations. Yure and his team at Peru Trek 4 Good worked with us to customize our itinerary according to our personal preferences, taking us from the Amazon to the Sacred Valley, from Machu Picchu to Cusco, and then from Lake Titicaca to the Colca Canyon, ending in Arequipa. We were impressed with the service throughout, from the prompt email responses during planning, to the friendly and personal driving and guiding during our trip. We loved travelling as a small group of 4, especially during the longer drives when we had a large Mercedes van all to really made the difference. Peru is a beautiful country, full of history and varied topography, delicious food and friendly truly was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Yure!
