Day 2

Wake up and enjoy your first full day of exploring Patagonia with friends! You’ll start the trip off with an amazing day discovering the Perito Moreno Glacier.

As a group, you’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Glaciers National Park, home to approximately 200 glaciers! Your guide will lead you through the walkways to get a solid look at this awesome ice field from the many different viewpoints.

Prefer to get up close and personal? Sign up for the optional Perito Moreno Glacier Ice Trek where you’ll get to explore the glacier by boat and then ascend the ice yourself! The adventure begins with a boat ride along the towering façade of the glacier, followed by disembarking on the opposite shore. From there, you will walk along the lateral side until ascending over the ice. This 2 hour, moderate circuit on the ice will introduce you to the fascinating glacial landscape. Take in the most incredible shades of blue as you pass streams, small lagoons, crevasses and sculptural ice formations. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Torres del Paine, here we come!! In the morning, we’ll make the drive south to the iconic Torres del Paine National Park. Day 4

Greet the day with a full day hiking the Base Las Torre Trek! Arriving from the dense forests along the Rio Ascencio, you’ll ascend toward the base of Torres del Paine. Admire the dramatic views of glaciated mountains as you climb. Get a good grip, the trail becomes rocky as it winds around granite boulders toward a glacial tarn. A spectacular view of the Torres del Paine and the glacial tarn below awaits you at the top. Hang onto a buddy, the trail is a bit steep headed down.

Hop into an all-wheel drive vehicle to ascend the Feruglio cordon. Here’s where the trek begins! You’ll journey for 14km over Fossil Canyon, an area with a great concentration of unique marine fossils, geological treasures left uncovered after the passage of the oceans long ago. This trek is a gradual downhill climb to Estancia Valley where you’ll hop back on the boat for your return!

Prefer to explore by horse? Experience an optional half day in the life of one the famous Patagonian Estancias, where time stands still and even today, sheep breeding remains the main occupation. Explore by horseback the excellent views of the Southern Arm of Lago Argentino, going through woodlands and getting to know the great variety of flora and fauna. Learn about the shearing process of the animals and horse handling gaucho skills demonstrated in the corrals while you ride.

In the evening, the crew will come back together for one last meal together. Cheers to new friends and lifelong memories at the farewell dinner!
