Your Host

Quiana Welch

Quiana Welch has an extensive background in sports. She started her athletic career as a competitive gymnast and competed until the age of 11. She later moved to NYC where she decided to give bodybuilding competition a shot. She trained for 2 months and quickly became to muscular to compete in the bikini category, so she took some time off from working out to reevaluate her goals. After a year had passed she decided to train to compete in the figure category. She ended up placing 3rd in her class with only a few months of targeted training.

In 2013 she started working at a CrossFit gym and quickly realized that bodybuilding wasn’t the sport for her anymore. Greg Glassman himself told her she needed to do CrossFit, so she did, and she began competing in 2014. She competed on 2 CrossFit regional teams and then went on to play GRID for the Boston Iron for 2 seasons. In her second season of GRID she met Chad Wesley Smith. He saw her potential as an Olympic Weightlifter and suggested she try that solely for a while. Through Chad and Juggernaut Training Systems she met her current coach Max Aita. Max has coached Quiana to win various champion medals and a two year American Record. Quiana is now a new mom to a beautiful baby boy, Langston Archer, and is learning how to navigate life as both a working mother and athlete.

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Bali! Your guide will be waiting at the International arrival terminal outside baggage claim. Meet and greet before leaving for your hotel in Ubud.

In the evening, you’ll head to a nearby restaurant to enjoy your first meal together, as you toast to all of the fun and adventure to come!

Overnight in Ubud

Arrival: Fly into Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). TrovaTrip will provide 3 transfers between 8am and 5pm.

Included: Airport Transfer, Welcome Dinner


Day 2

You’ll hit the ground running with a tour of Ubud! First, you’ll head to the idyllic Campuhan Ridge to walk amongst the rice terraces and palm trees. Stop at a food stall for fresh juice or coffee to enjoy while you stroll the ridge trail. Next, you’ll make some fuzzy friends at the Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest before sipping coffee amongst the trees at a coffee plantation. Make sure to bring your camera for some epic shots on the jungle swings! You’ll round out the day exploring the rice terraces.

After, you will head to a nearby gym where Quiana will lead you through her first workout!

Overnight in Ubud

Included: Breakfast, Ubud City Tour, Sacred Monkey Forest Visit , Lunch

Crossfit Seminar: Quiana will walk you through how to safely set up and complete squats and sumo squats during this 90 min seminar + workout at the end!


Day 3

You will begin your day by heading to a local market where you will handpick fresh ingredients for your traditional Balinese cooking class. Then, head back to the kitchen where you will learn Balinese cooking methods before trying your hand at crafting authentic local flavors from scratch.

End your day with an Ubud cycling tour to see ancient temples and rice fields around the city!

Day 4

After breakfast, you will head off to hike to the Tukad Cepund Waterfall, one of Bali's most beautiful and "instagrammed" waterfalls. Once you complete this short hike, you will head to lunch at a local restaurant in Kintamani where you will see the breaktaking views of Mt. Batur and the lake surrounding it.

Next stop is a visit to the hot springs where you will experience firsthand the rejuvenating effects of the natural springs. Here, you will have the option to sign up for a Balinese massage.

Quiana will lead you through another full body workout back at the hotel before calling it a night!

Overnight in Canggu

Included: Breakfast, Tukad Capung Waterfall Hike , Hot Springs Visit , Lunch

Optional: Balinese Massage (60 min)

Total Body Tone : Get those muscles fired up and burning during this 60 min body weight workout!


Day 5

Today you will travel out of the city to the serene beach town with crystal clear waters. Along the way, you will make a pit stop at the famous Tanah Lot Temple.

Spend the day relaxing at the beach before Quiana leads you through another workout seminar at a local gym.

Overnight in Canggu

Included: Breakfast, Tanah Lot Temple Visit, Lunch

CrossFit Seminar Part II: During the second half of this seminar, learn some of the most important aspects of the snatch technique to improve your overall strength training.


Day 6

Your last day on this beautiful island. Take time to explore Canggu on your own or sign up for an optional surf lesson! Join Quiana for one last workout class of the trip.

Gather for one last group dinner to reminisce on all the highlights from your trip.
